Position Title: Data Entry Clerk

Position Status: Regular Full Time (non-exempt)

Reports to:  Family Service Specialist

Position Purpose:

To make sure all Child's and Family information is properly transfer into Computer File. To maintain the database system by entering new and updating parent and children's information.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Must be eligible to be employed in the United States.
  • Typing Certificate (45 words)
  • Work with Microsoft Word
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain Confidentiality as required
  • Technical skills include documentation skills and time management
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, analyzing information, interpersonal skills and problem solving.
  • Ability to work as a Team member and independently.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Physical Exam

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direct supervision of the Family Service Specialist
  • Input all Head Start documents such as (but not limited to) Applications, Iminunization reports, Physical and Oral exams, Health History Forms and Family Development Plan enter data in specific data fields in computer system.
  • Makes referrals electronic
  • Manage the filing workflow efficiently and maintain storage of both physical and digital documents.
  • File documents in a timely manner, using standing procedures and exercising proper judgment regarding content and significance.
  • Update records with new information and/or new files as required.
  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of source of documents .
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
  • Maintains confidentiality of staff, parent and children's records and report.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid CA Driver's License,
  • Must be eligible to be employed in the United States.
  • Continuing Education required and Training.
  • Successful completion of an initial physical exam and follow-up every two years.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Fingerprint, background, tuberculosis clearance according to policy.
